New Destiny Expansion Arriving in 2016

But sadly Destiny 2 has been delayed until 2017. Confirmed today in a press conference that “Activision Publishing, along with its partners at Bungie, expects to bring a large new expansion to Destiny in 2016 and to release a full game sequel in 2017.” Good and bad news for fans of the RPG series who have temporarily put down their Thorns, Black Spindles and Truth's as they patiently await new content (Osiris, Iron Banner excluded).

The "large new expansion" currently remains a mystery but it may tie into prior news mentioned before the Christmas break that future new content will feature a significant Light increase, new PVE based challenges (more raids please), stacks of new gear as well as a higher level of replayability.

Keep it locked to Ate Bit as we will continue to monitor this story as it will no doubt change and evolve over the coming months.
